We have a large gym fitted with free weights, dumbbells, spin bikes and over 30 rowing machines. Commercial also have one of the largest fleet of boats in the country.
The river Liffey at Islandbridge allows for rowing and lessons everyday (and nights, depending on your skill level). We are not reliant on tides and the river is very sheltered. There is a 1800m stretch available from the Liffey Weir to Chapelizod Village.
The Club often also trains at Blessington Lake, Co. Wicklow (where we share a secondary boathouse). Approximately 30 minutes from Dublin, this man-made lake enables crews to get-a-good-run on a stretch of approximately 20km and a six-lane course.
